This is the week that I said “YES. It’s officially summer.” I finally got to the point where I’m convinced it’s consistently warm enough that I could put up the jeans and wear shorts/skirts/dresses every day if I was willing to shave my legs that often. We’re taking advantage by grilling as often as possible and spending plenty of time in the sunshine.

On Friday we went to Matt and Karina’s house for supper and it was just perfect. The kids played outside and watched a movie; the adults drank wine, chatted, and enjoyed a leisurely meal. It was blissful.

For our anniversary, my parents gifted us three months of the Murray’s Cheese Club – a more perfect gift could not be found. This month’s selections were all US based and all winners. We spent Saturday night enjoying them on a no-frills cheese board, which was a great way to lay low when we were coming off a long day of rooftop hanging and knew we had a very busy week ahead.

We spent Father’s Day in Connecticut at my beau’s favorite hometown spot, Captain’s Cove. Albert got to have his first lobstah roll of the season and Finn got to spend a few hours playing on their amazing collection of toys with his grandparents and cousins. Sadly, Albert’s gift did not arrive in time, but I’m happy he was able to spend the day in a place he loves.
